Privacy policy
What we collect
When you use the cost estimator we collect nothing that identifies you. When you submit the quote request form we collect your name, street address, email address, phone number, the project you are planning, your timeframe, whether you own the property, and the job size you entered into the estimator.
We also record your IP address, browser user agent, and the page you submitted from. These are required by our lead partner to evidence consent.
Who we share it with
Submitting the quote request form sends your details to Astoria Company, a lead exchange, which distributes them to up to four home improvement contractors or their agents. Those contractors are independent businesses; once your details reach them, their own privacy practices apply and we have no control over how they use your information.
Consent to be contacted is captured by ActiveProspect TrustedForm, which records the disclosure you were shown and issues a certificate stored with your lead.
We do not sell your information to data brokers, advertisers or list resellers.
Analytics
We record aggregate counts of how many people reach and complete each step of the form. These are counts only and are not linked to you. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
How to opt out or delete your data
Reply STOP to any text message to stop messages from that sender. To have your information removed from our records, email support@localprojectbudget.com. We cannot delete data already delivered to a contractor — contact them directly.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have additional rights of access, correction and deletion. Use the same address to exercise them.
Cost estimates
The cost figures on this site are modelled estimates, not quotes, and no contractor has agreed to any price shown. See our methodology page for how they are produced.
